Three Days of Chem-X Collaboration @Wacker, Burghausen: Exchange, Progress and a Shared Vision

Date

June 2025

Face2Face Chem-X Meeting at Wacker, Burghausen

From June 3rd to June 5th 2025, the Chem-X consortium met in Burghausen for an intensive three-day project meeting. Hosted by Wacker, all project partners came together to discuss progress, align goals, and shape the next steps.

Day 1 – Project Status and Strategic Outlook

The meeting began with an update on the current project status, followed by a panel discussion with key stakeholders. A highlight of the day was the keynote by Oliver Ganser (BMW Group, Catena-X), who provided valuable insights into the broader data ecosystem. The day concluded with a guided plant tour at Wacker and informal networking.

Day 2 – Alignment and Shared Objectives

The second day focused on aligning content – first within individual work packages, then across the consortium. A key milestone was reached as partners agreed on concrete use cases to guide the next project phase. In a World Café format, cross-cutting topics and challenges were discussed to collect input for the upcoming work.

Day 3 – Implementation and Communication
On the final day, participants engaged in mixed-company groups to share experiences on internal stakeholder engagement. Together, they identified key drivers and obstacles for innovation and began shaping a joint communication strategy for the project.

Next Steps
All partners will now focus on engaging Business, IT, and HR teams to prepare both systems and people for the implementation of Digital Product Passports.

A sincere thank you to everyone involved – and especially to WACKER for the warm welcome and excellent organization on site!
